AR-XA spinning JGeils Band...

The AR-XA was my first "audiophile" purchase in or about 1973. Loved that table. It went when CDs took over. Should have never sold it. I now spin on a highly modified VPI HW 19 jr. I would love to have them both to compare sonics. Oh well...if there is anyone out there who has, please chime in

:nono: :nono: oops...sorry didn't mean to steal your thread

Wooba Gooba Baby!!!

Take out your false teeth, Mama, I want to suck on your gums!!!

Sorry, just a Peter Wolf moment. Hard to believe Faye Dunaway married that guy...:dunno:

not trying to steal either. My current modded XA project table runs heads up with my modded AR ES-1. Never ran a VPI on the same system.

How did you get the platter that shiney? I have 3 of the beasts around here, and just came home with a walnut base that I will swap into one with vinyl, and I would like to make one at least really sexy.

Peter Wolf can sing a bit...but, Magic Dick with his harmonicas is just :tresbon:. I like J.Geils Band live LPs...and that AR XA is really nice John. Preston

Beautiful, thanks for the tips for shining up the platter. I love old AR XA turntables. I still use the example I bought in 1973, original tonearm bearing wore out, now sports a Mayware Formula IV tonearm and lovely all the way.
