AR94s- anybody had a chance to listen?

Local sale of these AR-94s for $99. Anybody had a chance to listen to them critically?

Kelly (kfa888) has two pairs of AR-94s. You might want to ask what he thinks of them (though I think both pairs may be in need of foam).

i think they all need refoamed Yep, two pairs, never heard them. Got one set for $30 in like new condition but needing surrounds and the other set for free last Saturday needing surrounds.

Take your flashlight to see the surrounds but assume they need them.

My latest pair of 94's currently reside atop my HPM 100's and next to my Altec 19s and are listened to on a daily basis. I happen to like 2-ways (2.5 way in this case) and since they cost me only $40 plus the cost of refoaming and cabinet cleanup I think think they are a nice speaker for most music. It's not what I would call a great speaker but it doesn't lend itself to listener fatigue which for me is good enough. Enjoy your latest project!
