Are Pioneer CT-F750 Cassette Decks Desirable?

I am wondering if the Pioneer CT-F750 deck is desirable? What are the issues and repair needs of the unit?

It's one of the better decks, but is showing its age. Recommend if you get one, find one which has been fully serviced, especially all the rubber parts replaced. Most of the rubber wheels and belts have hardened or melted by this time. If you're experienced in these repairs, go for it! Otherwise, get a new deck which won't have these issues.

Agree. One thing to look for is head wear. Being auto reverse many people put many hours on them. Back in the day servicing hi fi it was something I noticed. Good deck, made good recordings and was largely trouble free.

Cool, very Pioneer looking, with fluoroscan display and classic knobs. These do not have a cover over the cassette tray and if they sit around for long periods, the head and rollers will get a lot of hair goo. This series had to be some of the last silver pioneer before moving to a short-lived gold and then black.

If your looking for the classic Pioneer Stack, this is a good way to do it, it's bigger brothers the 950 and 1250 can be harder to find
