Yes, this is not a very desirable JBL load and the Acousti-Craft cabinets don't enhance their value. The D131 is basically a 12-inch version of the 15-inch D130. Same motor, smaller cone and frame. While I dearly lover my 030 system I've had for over 60-years which is the D130 with the 075 and N2600 in JBL C35 cabinets, they generally underwhelm folks looking for speakers to really do it all. Back when rock was the Stones, Iron Butterfly, Jethro Tull, the Allman Brothers, the Dead and any other guitar-driven combos, these were my favorites and they could even rock outside all day long playing to the mountains. But there are far better systems from that era from JBL and many many more recent JBLs that will blow them away. The 15s play everything a cello can throw at them. Jazz sounds great. But my 4345s and 250ti will shake your pants legs when you enter a room. You won't "feel" a D130 in your gut and you certainly won't "feel" a D131. And if you've ever owned an 075 you are likely well aware of what it can do . . . and what it can't. "Fake but Fun" was still invented with the L100, but the 030 was my only system from about 1958 until I purchased my L112s around 1982, and we had some good times in high-school, college, and long after! And maybe the memories are better than the actual experience. I still own them all, so I can find out!
