I like to think of them as upstairs copies and downstairs copies.

Ha! Exactly. Just so much more convenient that way.

I do purge from time to time by donating them back by the hundreds....but when pristine copies like a dupe-to-me Derek & the Dominoes Layla or an intriguing cover-Tchaikovsky Spectacular MFSL 100C-2 - :thmbsp: are staring at me for 30 frigging cents I'm taking 'em home (just did that yesterday).

Junkie...or hoarder? I dunno. I do enjoy the hunt nearly as much as the playing.

I just discovered I have four and half feet of untested records waiting to be processed. I clean them, listen to them, and decide whether they deserve to be added to the permanent collection of not.

Don't even ask how many feet the permanent collection is.

I will buy anything that looks interesting if it is cheap enough. Will buy a second copy of a record I really like. Maybe 5% of the collection are ones that I will never play again, should give them away.
