Yeah that link wire is in and there is also a chassis link that ties ground to the input selector switch housing.
So with no LED in place and no inputs connected and the volume up 60% plus you can hear hum.
With anything connected or an RCA short plug installed the hum goes.
With the LED Aux installed and Aux selected HUM goes with no inputs.
If I move selector to Tuner hum will come back unless there is an LED in place for Tuner like for AUX.
If I remove the power red and white wire for the selector LED the hum goes.
There's nothing outstanding wrong here. I am sure I will see the same behaviour on the next 717 that comes my way. I wont forget to test for that.
