AU-9900 replacement parts recommendations?

It's operating very well since I replaced the two tone boards. I really have no complaints. I can create the "Loudness" effect with the tone controls for when I want it. I've also have an SE-7 and used that for a while to get the tone effect I want. With a TU-9900, it makes a great system! Right now it's paired with a set of KLH 5's for speakers.

I'm glad you got it up to spec and that it's performing so well! Clever way of the having the loudness effect. I've only heard positive things about the KLH 5's, I'll grab a pair if they ever come up for sale locally.
I found an AU-9900, TU-9900 set and I'm slowly working on those, so I'll use your thread for guidance.

I have KLH 5's, 6's, and 17's and actually prefer the 6's overall, but the 5's are close and there are opinions on both sides. A lot more 6's were made than 5's, so usually the 6's are much cheaper and easier to find.

I did restore the PS on my TU-9900, but I think you read my thread on that.
 
For amps using the F2580 driver board, per the service manual instructions, turning the bias pots counter-clockwise increases the bias.

If you have the F2583 board, it is the opposite. This is because the circuit traces are different between the two boards, where the bias pots are located. My amp had the F2583 board, so I used the 3386V trimmer. Its mounting pattern fits the board, and turning it clockwise raises the bias, the way the original does, for this board.

For the F2580 board, the 3386H fits correctly, and will adjust as the manual indicates.

Lowering the resistance raises the bias, for both type pots.
