That's not very nice or positive.

You guys all do kind of have a point about todays manners. The other day at my highschool, my histry teacher came up and SHOVED me out line for the microwave at lunch. He was pro wrestler too, so I didnt mess around, though it just gets really annoying somtimes when people do that. I can see people being rude back when somone was really mean to them, but all I can say is DONT START A FIGHT WHEN ITS NOT NECESSARY.

Hmm, the point of the thread, summed up nicely....

You think, Justen? Or do you think the polite thing would have been to say, "oh, maybe there's an exception to my comment about Sanyo"? Or maybe to just let it go? If that was etiquette, well ...

I lurk alot here, cause' I don't have much to offer; but everybody seems pretty mellow.

What are you guys smoking?

;)

Seriously.
Looks at every post after page 3.
People have already thrown in little anti/pro-some brandname bullshit in this thread.
Kind of ironic anyone would **** on a thread about not shitting on threads.

Bully, I don't want to change anyone, and I certainly never wanted anyone to think I was telling them what to do. That is far from the motive I had posting this thread.
I was exaggerating what some people have done every now and then, because even 1 of 30 threads has idiotic comments like "that is junk, get what I own, cuz I pwn"(not to be exact, but along the same lines) it really stands out to a lot of folks.
Like Kamakiri said, it is all in the wording i guess.

Lets all hold hands and sing kum bai ya.
I'm sorry there's a lot of lousy audio gear out there. Not pointing that out would be wrong no matter who's feelings get hurt.
I don't believe anyone should be rude but pretending Concept, Sanyo, and Sound Design is decent doesn't help anyone.

That is precisely the kind of crap cake I am talking about.
Seriously, those might not be very good brands in your opinion, but some folks like them, so show some sensitivity to people who may own them.
That could be reworded as "It is cool you like so and so, but you might try so and so instead, you might like it better"

I don't care how many times anyone claims "oh, it is just an opinion, so stfu, I am free to say it" doesn't make it any less rude and useless.

Seriously, lets all stay kind and mature in this thread.

Note- I am in no way trying to change folks, people have to change themselves. I am just trying to offer some advice to being mroe sensitive to people's opinions.
Kind of like that old bullshit arguement ford vs. chevy. Every dumb a55 with either one has to claim "omfg! mine has like 5.5 billion miles. omg! I totally pwn" "omg! I can outrun anyone with so and so, cuz I am 1337" or something similar.
In all seriousness, some folks just need to pull their heads out of their asses and notice not everyone is going to appreciate a comment like "I don't know how anyone can like so and so" It serves no use in trying to help someone acheive audio nirvana.
