B&O Speakers

Just picked up a B&O M70 and S75's....anyone have or heard them? I don't much care for the style, but got a turntable and receiver also---4002 and 2400. I'm no fan of B&O, but the price was right...any experiences?

I've got a pair of S-75's that I've been converting to frankenspeakers. JBL 10" woofers, Pioneer mids, Marantz HD-770 tweeters and crossovers and some old Kloss tweeters as supertweeters. I have one almost done, sounds surprisingly good. I don't think I'll be able to get the frilles on with the pots where I had to mount them though. Did you get the stands with them? They look pretty sharp.

The stand came with the m70's..but I suppose can be used with the 75's. The B&O stuff looks pretty hokey - all is mint, but I don't like the unique connecting cable idea. I'm going to hook up the m70's with my Fisher 500C and see how it sounds....

Frilles? Frilles? Sorry strawman :D , I still haven't gotten over the 'woogers' thing. It's just in jest. - Mark :thmbsp:

A lot of the B&O stuff is pretty darn good -- not super high end, but very good. They lack the last bit of transparency, and I don't think they take really low bass seriously, but given the obvious goal of domestic acceptability, they are quite fine. Electrically complex and odd connectors. I'm surprised you object to their looks.

I kind of like the style and the rosewood veneer. And Mark, at least my typo's are all "next key". Getting a lot of mileage from the "woogers". :lmao:
