I've searched the web and can find very little information on B&W DM3000 speakers. Would anyone out in AK land know the power handling and the frequency response of these speakers? Any help would be appreciated.

THANKS!

they're not in the current catalog. what yr were they made. what is the spkr compliment and size and enclosure size? post a pic would help ID/compare to current models. Best models today handle 1000w and go 25-33khz at $8000.

Hmmm, are you sure of the model #? That one doesn't even show up on the B&W product archive. The only 3000 they list is a subwoofer (ASW3000).

properly more like 35Hz-25/30kHz, it is rear that "normal" speakers dip into the 20´s and when they do they are usally of Transmission Line design.

If you look into B&W's speaker range you will note that it even is rear that they go below the 40-45 Hz.

Just got a line on a pair, found this thread and want to express my interest in info also. In addition to the info on the thread in the link provided above, all I can find out is that they were produced in 85-86, have 2-8" woofers and a passive radiator, a non-metallic tweeter, weigh about 70 lbs. each and retailed for between $1.9-$2K/pair.

Any other info would be greatly appreciated.
