Always been partial to Kenwood knobs.

The faceplate of my amp is polished steel, like a mirror, it is hard to take a front on photo.
The knobs are gold colored and only the two, left side one sets source (in my case just phono) the right hand one is volume.

My Favorite: Audio Research (SP-6 to SP-15 era).

I used some spares from a faceplate conversion for an SP9 with a DIY attenuator box used in the early 2000s. As I mentioned in an earlier post, it was an homage to the Mark Levinson JC-2...

7 piece knobs with real gold , might be over the top but unique they are and can’t make a mistake with switching an input or volume.

Not as extravagant as what @Audiofreak71 posted but MF did know how to make a nice solid knob.

Back in the 60's I was very impressed with the feel and implementation of the knobs and switches on A Marantz 7C pre-amp. Yes the knobs and switches were pretty plain, but the feel was special. I have never felt anything that compared back then. Have you ever felt your girl friends or wife's Mink, Fox or Ermin coats or wraps? Thats a special touch for sure. But thats memories from the 60's.

I still love my Dyna PAS3x, solid aluminum Volume knob. It looks cool (Champagne Gold), feels cool (fine fluting), and has the right weight to give it a good flywheel feel. The weight is important to me.
