By all means, Kurt Cobain was a huge talent, but Dave Grohl's mainstream rock chops have turned him into a legitimate R&R superstar. So if you listen to R&R at all, I'd certainly find it odd that you're unfamiliar with Grohl and his band.

I once heard Grohl in an interview saying if he'd have known the band was going to do so well he'd have come up with a name that didn't suck. I was like, no way! The name is cool. Most people today probably don't even realize where the term came from.

When I first heard the intro to this song on the radio, I thought for a second I was hearing a new Rush tune.

Foo Fighters inducting Rush into the RRHOF but not before giving them the razz real good.

Then proceeding to rip a kickass rendition of the 2112 intro...

Pretty sweet. Interesting way to get your favorite band to come to town. Lots of respect for the Italian fans, I'm sure a hell of a lot of work went into that operation. Yet another reason music fans are cool. Thanks for posting the vids; though I was aware of Foo Fighters existence, I had never heard any of their music. Couldn't make it past 3:00 in any of the songs, (just not my thing, now I know), but the ability to view a video in the post is quite handy- makes it that much easier to turn each other on to new stuff, so thanks for making those available. Rock on, Italian Foo Fighters fans!
