better cd player

Hallo all, I can choose from two different cd players.The first is from Sony cdp950 and the second is a Philips cd630.Both players are old but still work very well.What do you think the best of the two have the best sound.

Look very similar on paper. I suppose it comes down to personal preference. Build quality of the unit and connectivity. The general concensious of opinion is that the Sony uses better quality parts so that would be my choice. Plus it looks SO much nicer.

I've also read plenty on the 900 series of the Sony's and they are very highly regarded. Might pick one up myself one day if the price is right. I love a good cd player. Maybe I should get out more often...
