BGW 750C vc AMCRON PSA2

[Fabio75]

I have a AMCRON PSA2 (CROWN PSA2).

I could replace it with a BGW 750c and a small difference in coin

Do you think it's worth it? It should be driving Infinity KAPPA 8s

Thank you

Keep the Amcron (American Crown) a gem. Note BGW amps can be nice. Neither are junk or inferior in proper order.

Isnt the BGW the same amp as a Peavey CS 400?

No.

Peavey sourced some hard parts from the same vendor as BGW, namely the steel cabinet, and aluminum heat sinks. The 750 shares these parts with the original CS-800 with the cast aluminum face plate in the same general power output category, the similarities pretty much end there.

Ok I wasn't sure but my unit is the CS800 . Thanks for the info!

One other similarity i should mention, they're both robust, durable and capable amplifiers that despite their age, are still significant today.

I think the BGW will sound better.

They are both great amplifiers, given there age, they need servicing and restoration. For home use, I prefer the Crown PSA2.

A very well maintained PSA2. Well done. The one in my possession works great, but aesthetically it is not
