BRAUN 60 hertz pulley

Anyone knows where I could get a BRAUN 60 hertz pulley for an atelier 1?
Living in the US and trying to make this baby spin at the right speed.

Do you a picture or image of the Braun Atelier 1 pulley (50 hz) ? :scratch2:

Is that anything like a hertz donut?

k: There's no such thing - 'cause the Atelier P1 to P4 all are internally DC powered direct-drive models. Whether mains power comes with 50 or 60 Hz doesn't matter - all you need to do is to make sure that the power supply is internally configured for 110 to 120 instead of 220 to 240 V. If that doesn't suffice to achieve the correct speeds, there'll be some other problem...

Could you maybe post a pic of the unit? It would help in figuring out which is the most similar separate table to the one installed. That and it would be cool to see (of course).

ff: The Atelier 1 isn't an all-in-one, but a component system - consisting of the P1 table, C1 cassette deck, T1 tuner and A1 integrated amp. You can find a German brochure, also over on Lulabu's archive - there: http://elac.pytalhost.com/Braun81/

So, as already written above, there's no such thing as a 60 Hz pulley for the Atelier series tables - neither for the P1, nor for the other three that followed in the next couple of years...

P.S.: Darn, that reminds me that I still have to revive the PS550 I got from my stepdad (brochure pic over there: http://elac.pytalhost.com/Braun76-1/03.jpg). For my taste one of the finest looking Braun tables, but unfortunately a pretty complex design with a lot of electronics...

If the set wasn't sold in N. America (I've never seen one, that is for sure) then it seem the thing to do would would be to calculate the difference in diameter necessary and then go and find a good machinist to make one. Of course if the whole system needs to be run through a transformer it would be moot.

I have a PS-500 and it is one cool piece of machinery, not to mention it sounds excellent. I haven't seen a 550 in person yet, only in pics. I do think they were sold this side of the pond, though probably in very limited numbers.

Atelier components were sold in the US under the ADS brand.

As mentioned above, no pulley replacement is needed; this table uses a DC servo motor which works fine on 120V/60Hz once the transformer in the power supply has been configured for that voltage/frequency. Didn't see the detail for that configuration change in the manual, though.

I have the atelier 1, not the atelier P1.

If this is the system, it appears to be 1950's vintage equipment so it wouldn't be direct drive.

That would mean that you are back to needing a 60hz pulley.
The thought for awhile,was that this was more modern equipment and the tt was direct drive, until your post , which straightened out what you really were working with.
Do please post a pic of the pulley you have now.
