Break-In Necessary on New CD Player?

Yes. There are others here who dismiss (or simply don't understand) the long term experience of established firms who have consistently set the performance bar for over forty years.
 
The over arching question is what would break in on a CD player? There are far more sub components than a capacitor. Could it be the output stage and op amps? Could it be run in on the laser assembly and less need for error correction? Could it be wiring and solder joints in the audio path? Could it be power supply? Run in and stabilization of any of these subsections could effect the end output of a CD player from straight out of the box compared to one with X number of hours on it. Just focusing on the parameters of a capacitor loses sight of the original question in my opinion.

As I have said previously, most CDPs use SS stages that do not involve capacitors in the signal path. Those with tube stages would.

My references have always been to other assertions about capacitors themselves.
