Brennan's Iron Law

VintageStereo:

  • Must sound like a bag of cats
  • If I post good pics on my site, and talk them up, i can sell them for big money!
  • If the speaker doesn't use a symmetrical layout and toroids, it's not good.

CarlV's requirements:

  • Damn, i'm glad Newman stays out of the McForum
  • Must survive 3 TB of godawful music
  • Somebody say POT?

Celt's requirements are simple:
  • Must not cause trouble in the Speakers Forum
  • Must not cause trouble in the Speakers Forum
  • Must not cause trouble in the Speakers forum

(subject to editing by Forum Moderator, of course :D)

:D It's all true! (Although you forgot to mention cheap horn loaded drivers.)

*Compression drivers the size of melons!
*I'll buy anything with a tube in it!
*Projects, projects and more projects!

Addendum to doucanoe purchase requirements.

1) Must always recommend to others to access real needs and then purchase accordingly. Then forgeting about his own advice, buy something that will go into the basement to possibly never to be seen again.

2) Never impulse purchase a tube console that will not fit into the back of a Chevy Impala without the use of a sawsall. Or of course, a friend that can help out.

3) Always purchase so that you are at least 10 projects ahead of your completed work.

4) If it hums, it must be good.

ejfud purchase requirements.

1) You shouldn't buy any speaker that does not need a nifty reveneer.

2) No more vintage tube integrateds. Well, maybe a few more.
