Cable Length

Yes, @Mr Boochie... 0.06mH is a low value, indeed, but since some crossover uses as low as 0.1 or 0.15mH in their Midrange or Tweeter circuits, it may possibly show some little influence on the treble extension.

I remember a mistake that I made 45 years ago (I was 16) : the wires to my Speakers (Realistic columns T+M+2xW) were excessively long so I wound them around my hand and scotched them (are you serious  ? Yes I am ! :)).

One day, one cable broke inadvertently, and I said "let's cut them to minimum lenght for the occasion, no extra-lenght in reserve needed finally". What a change in tone ! Suddenly, the treble were noticeably enhanced : incredible improvement ! :p

Oh, OK : I was young...;)

As we know, inductance and impedance change with frequency. In a non-linear manner, to boot. Testing with a signal generator and scope may be the only way to understand the character of each system's setup.

Or even smaller than 0.1:

BTW, decided it was a bit too "sharp" with the "Brilliance" (C7) activated (as in this video), so reduced it to 0.47 today. Smooooth.

It's funny, even after all the years I still go back to what we used when i was with Hanley. Nothing was bigger than 16ga, and that was rare. Most of what we used was 18ga. And almost all the cables were 25' or 50'. Some were 100'.

We did all the Boston area college graduations, many concerts. Their first big show was Woodstock, we still used a few of the cabinets and horns.

AWG 18 = 1mm²
AWG 16 = 1.5mm²
AWG 14 = 2.5mm² - this is the size that I use for my speaker cables (in length up to 6 meters / 20ft.)
AWG 12 = 4mm²
AWG 10 = 6mm²
AWG 8 = 10mm²
