Cable remote and Mcintosh equipment

Anyone know if a Brighthouse cable remote will work with Mcintosh equipment?

is most likely needed to answer your question. I'm not familiar with Brighthouse. Also, your intent on its use will help. There's lots of helpful folks here but details are needed.

2275 int amp. I called and they had not a clear answer.

They said 9 out of 10 chance is no.
But the old remote had a code for mcintosh equipment. ( why would the new remote not)
I thought possibly someone would might have brighthouse cable here.
