Hello everyone, I'm trying to decide if I should buy this one. It's a Motorola SK107CW with HS 1049 chassis.
Chassis HS-1049 is a three-channel power amplifier with vibrasonic output.
I read one blog that indicated a Drexel cab but the seller can't find any emblems indicating cab mfg.

My problem is I already have 3 Maggies and 2 Motorolas
I saw a video of it playing an album, sounds pretty good on the video. Any and all comments appreciated.

The three channel amp models were voiced specifically for their cabinet and speakers. If you’re planning to keep it intact, yeah go for it.
But if you are considering repurposing the guts, it is trickier than it might first appear. Lots of variables due to the three channel rig which now needs to be rebalanced. Perfect for experimentation, though, if that’s your intent.

Thanks for the information, I plan to keep it original. I understand it has two 6V6 for the base and two EL84 for the mids and treb.
If it were close and cheap it would be a no brainer. It's a buck fifty and hour or so away so I'm on the fence. Something tells me I don't need it but a post on the previous page says it's a great unit (the SK1049).
Not sure how it would compare to the pictured HS711 chassis that I currently have? (embarrassed to post this pic. needs TLC) (I did replace caps and do a spot clean as seen in pic, just need to finish).
Mine is model 15KT24-CW-1A but looks similar to yours. It sounds great with original caps (Goodall caps) but I guess the experts say to replace them (that's next). I love the tuner face it looks like Christmas. My only problem is the cabinet is laminate and tends to peel especially at the bottom. Anyway it's still a very cool piece

I like the style of the Fisher cabinet and it has twice the power as the Motorola, owing to four 6V6s versus two in the power amp. Also the Garrard is likely a better record changer than the VoM in the Moto.
What it would come down to, for me, is IF I plan on using a mono console. And have space for it. That would be a “no” for me, but if its a yes for you then that Fisher would be tough to beat.

Motorola definitely used the same cabinet/speakers for these two models. The laminate on mine peels at the bottom too. The model numbers suggest that mine might be an earlier model. Looks like they upgraded the power amp and tuner on yours. Your chassis looks brand new! did you have to do much work on it?Mine is model 15KT24-CW-1A but looks similar to yours. The question you posted was to a compendium thread for Fisher consoles, primarily used for reference/research not necessarily for "should I buy" type of questions thus probably why you haven't received any replies.

Well that makes sense, thank you for that explanation. I need to figure out how to delete my post from that thread.
The way mine is mounted the tuner section was facing up where dust could settle and rodents could climb, the amp was mounted facing downward that's why it's very clean. The only work I've done at this point is DeoxIT on pots and some cleaning on tuner section. The tuner section did have evidence of rodents at some point but not to bad. My plan is to replace the capacitors before I reinstall into the cab.

I'm excited to have that tuner myself. I'm hoping those french accent pieces on the front come off but I haven't had time to dig into it yet. The Motorola will be replacing my Fisher Philharmonic p-29ea as my basement player. This is the first motorola I've had come through my hands so I'm looking forward to digging into it.
