Got a cambridge audio receiver model azur540r
For free and unexpectedly got a nad 7140 for free as well. One can stay ...one is going...which would you part with and why.

I had a cambridge audio phono preamp years ago kept going through capacitors on the board, after the 3rd time I went to a different school brand. That kind of soured my on Cambridge Audio

I think CA CDP's are great. I own two. And Azur 640V2 and a 740..Bought the 740 new.

Why not keep both...? I think both brands represent a very high degree of price to performance value and make great sounding products.

Id like to keep both but id like to flip one to upgrade my speakers. I may keep both

I like both those brands. Once bought a 7140 new and really enjoyed it. Had a similar experience with a CA, though a different model. I found SQ good with both.

If you do decide to sell one, use them both for awhile. I've found, that when SQ is about the same, actual usage will reveal issues other than SQ which may cause me to prefer one component over another - sometimes greatly prefer.
