Something new and odd. I Dm'd a member and they responded but the response showed up as some sort of private chat, without any notification and not in my in box. Then a week or more later, a message showed up in my DM inbox that, when clicked on took me to the private chat inbox where I found several "new" messages, some were a week or more old.

So, I've not been ignoring people, in case anyone messaged me, just not getting notifications.

While there's still work in the background to fully resolve this, you might try this for Chat:
  1. Close the chatroom window completely and wait 5–10 minutes before re-entering
  2. Turn off any VPN if you're using one — VPN IPs are more likely to get flagged
  3. Try a different browser or clear the browser cache/cookies and bookmarks for audiokarma.org
  4. Try the pinned/inline chatroom view rather than the floating window.
With regards to those, I haven't tried them in sequence, but I will list my results thus far:
1. Exiting the chat using the Back button (and getting the Too Many Requests error) and re-entering several minutes later (after the error clears) will allow me to monitor the chat (EDIT: I can't even just sit in the chatroom watching anymore, that now triggers a 429 error as well ), but posting starts the clock to getting the error all over again
2. I'm not using any VPNs
3. I've also tried using Safari on my iPad (running the latest iOS 26.5) to access the chat, and it throws the error as well. Only other browser I have is Firefox (as mentioned above), and it is completely unable to access AK due to the "Forbidden" issue
4. Posting within the inline window causes the issue as readily as the floating one.

Thank you for the feedback. There's a fix in the works and we'll let you know when changes have been made.

I keep getting this message when I try to access AK using the Edge browser, which is what I have been using to view AK for some years:

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access this resource.

I can, however, access it via Chrome. Why can I not use Edge anymore to view AK?

I've been getting this lately. Even after 4-5 posts in the allowable amount of time. Happens just traveling around the system, not necessarily on the attempted last post.

Have you tried to update your Edge browser? Should be able to from inside Windows.

huh?

you could try downloading the latest version and installing it after uninstalling the present version ..https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/edge/download?form=MA13FJ

I solved the issue of not being able to access AK, and a few other sites as well, with Edge. Edge was missing some files and wouldn't update or reload after an update was completed. As soon as the update was done, according to Windoze, it asked for it to be updated again and again and again. A very disturbing, and annoying, loop.

I changed my default browser! No more issues.

I'm so tired of Windows, it's weird quirks, failed updates and the big brother aspects of it today. I gotta get my Linux project done!

I can't access AK on Chrome (for Mac). I get an error message saying "you don't have permission to view this resource". It works OK on safari (so far).

I've been using Chrome as my primary browser for years and this issue just recently started. What's up?

I'm getting this on Chrome, on my main computer, but Edge works, lol.
Other computer was also doing it but corrected itself. Update?

I gave up WindBlows years ago. No regrets at all.

I just became blocked on my work PC a few days ago! I had to use my phone to get through. Can you check my IP and maybe whitelist me? Thank you!

FWIW, while I`m not having any common recent reported issues with A/Ks forum, the site seems as of this early afternoon is starting to respond increasingly sluggish to all simple actions of navigating through it, like the bot swarm are becoming very active again loading down the server.

Oh well, there is always YT videos to fall back on, if and when, A/K becomes possibly unusable.

Win 11 Pro currently as of yesterday updated, same with my EDGE browser, no other changes made by me to this laptop.

I'm not getting the Too Many Request error in the chatroom anymore. However, if I'm there for five or so minutes after posting, every time I try to send a post, I get the ol' "Oops! We ran into some problems." error as if the chat had tripped the 429 error, so something's not quite right. Hopefully @Tinkerbelle , @Ms Grumpy or someone else can sort this out. :deal:
-Adam

EDIT: After another 'test session' with the chatroom, the bad ol' "Too Many Requests* screen did pop up, so it would seem things haven't been fixed just yet... :(

My desktop shows nothing but a white screen when I try to access the site.

On my iPad… I get the white screen with a little box to verify. I am human. I checked the box in here I am.

Any ideas on how to get that box on my desktop?
