Not a mod, but an Admin should be able to do that. I reported your post so someone can take a look at it.I normally participate in AK at work.
I do occasionally log in from home.
A few visits ago, I forgot may password.
After 3 attempts, my IP address was banned.
Should I assume a PM to a mod can have that lifted?
Did you since remember your password being as you're online to post this or was this from a device that is always logged in?I normally participate in AK at work.

Yes, an admin, though a moderator would elevate the issue. Not a mod, but an Admin should be able to do that. I reported your post so someone can take a look at it.

Being as you are able to be online to post, you could also try resetting your password from that device.

@YY1 none of your IPs are banned at the AK forum software level. Did you get a message that your IP was banned and, if so, which one, so we can check at the server level? You can send a private message on that info.
Meanwhile, you could also try logging in with a VPN that would present a different IP.
Did you get a response on this?I spoke with Justin today and newenglandj is still unable to login to AK. I submitted this inquiry via 'contact us' last Sunday but figured I would try this thread.
OK, have you cleared all cache, cookies, saved AK bookmarks, etc. and then tried again? At home, no matter what address I go to related to AK, I get a "denied" message.
No response yet. I will ask Justin for those details.Did you get a response on this?
When you sent in the inquiry, did you provide info such as device used, operating system, browsers tried, etc.?
I'm using a new computer now, which apparently has solved the issue. It's nice to be back on AK, this is the first time I've been able to view the site in at least two weeks. No response yet. I will ask Justin for those details.
As I've said multiple times in an attempt to help those still having issues, a simple reload (or update(s)) of the OS will fix the issue, hardware though nice to have faster stuff, has nothing to do with the issue. Welcome back NewEngland! I saved all my pertinent information (downloads, pics, etc.) to a storage drive and completed the OS wipe and reload then returned the files back to the machine.I'm using a new computer now, which apparently has solved the issue. My other laptop is a first generation Macbook Air, so I think that was the problem, I couldn't use a recent enough OS & up to date browser.
That's pretty far back. Current version is 151.04. Maybe updating will help.Still locked out with Firefox 115.36.
Just recently experienced one of those. This is new, and frustrating. An encuberance to doing technical research here. I used search and was toggling through the results then was kicked off the site.

Sorry, didn't memorize the entire thread.Already been explained in an earlier post.

Interesting. Guess this error doesn't only correspond to chatroom use, as I've been discussing in this thread. Hopefully something can be done about this before too long, as the chat function is still all but useless. This is new, and frustrating. An encuberance to doing technical research here. While there's still work in the background to fully resolve this, you might try this for Chat:Guess this error doesn't only correspond to chatroom use, as I've been discussing in this thread.
