Can't turn off email notifications

I've unchecked the "and receive email notifications of replies" and even unchecked "Automatically watch threads" in preferences and still get bombarded with email notifications.

What am I doing wrong?

Try clearing your browser cache and then log back in to AK and give it another go.

Not sure what that will do for emails, but I'm trying it.

I have the opposite problem, I'm not getting any email notifications. Ms. Grumpy posted a while back that they will look into it when they get a chance. Not sure of the status of that, with Grumpy's illness and recovery.

Top right of the table you can disable e-mail notification for all watched threads:

Or, you can check the ones you want to change and use the options at the bottom left of the table:
