Canton Karat 300

So, I bought both Denon PMA 770 and Canton Karat 300 (100W per channel, let's see how that goes). I still haven't had much time to listen to the system, but I hope to do some A/B testing (Karat 200 vs Karat 300 on PMA 770) in the upcoming weeks.

I'll be waiting to read your thoughts. Have fun with them.

Cheers,
James

A thread worth reviving. I have a pair of the 4 ohm Karat 300's. The Outlaw RR2160 I had could due 165 watt's into 4 ohms but you could tell it was holding back the potential of the 300's. A Parasound 2250 v2 & 200 Pre turned them loose with a 400 watts and plenty of headroom. The blend of highs, mids and bass is the best I've owned. If your not getting excellent bass and percussion from these somethings not right. Mine are 26" off the ground and 3' from the wall. Early reviews said they needed to be close to the rear wall. I didn't find that to be true. Set-up right these will produce sound that makes you think the musicians are in the room. Even at my age they pull detail out of a recording that I've never heard before plus the Parasound equipment is excellent stuff.
