EDIT: Yes, this is an old thread, but, it is now a Christmas tradition.

Yesterday, My wife and I prepared and sent out our annual Christmas cards. To put us in the mood, I put on some Christmas music. What are you playing this year?

Cantate Domino, Proprius-AudioSource CDP 7762. Fine music and a great recording.

For me Christmas hasn't began until I've heard 'Stop The Cavalry' by Jona Lewie and I must hear it on the radio!

Trouble is, I don't think it was very popular over here in 'north America' so it could be a long wait 'till Christmas comes :(

Woohoo! Until this very moment I was afraid I was the only one on the planet with that disc. I thought it was a VERY limited edition...just mine. Personally I like the Billy Squier tune a litte more than the Waitresses but it's a great disc all around.

The Merry Axemass duo are always the first I break out the day after Thanksgiving. I won't do Christmas music before that but I'm always hankerin' to hear those 2. There's nothing quite like the Nuge doing "Deck the Halls". I've heard the Hoey is similar...what's your review?

Others that have been in my rotation:
Ella Fitzgerald's Christmas
Barenaked Ladies - Barenaked for the Holidays
Amy Grant - Home for Christmas
Leann Rimes - What a Wonderful World
Garth Brooks & the Magic of Christmas
Clint black - Looking for Christmas (one of my favorites)
Brad Paisley Christmas (Penguin, James Penguin :thmbsp:)
James Taylor - A Christmas Album
The Nashville Superpickers - Pickin' On Christmas
and yes, I'll admit it....Kenny G - Miracles

I stream AOLRadio to my AV system for my wife. XM Holiday Traditional, mostly, but today she found a pretty cool Jazz Holiday station. :)
