Cizek Model 1s with Dual 1209

Someone offered me a pair of Cizek Model 1s with a Dual 1209 TT for $120. He says the speakers are in mint condition and the Dual 1209 needs a stylus and some "TLC" (his words). Is this reasonable, price wise?

Pitch the Dual or leave it for someone else. If the drivers work on the Cizeks, chortle "Scroe".
The Cizek 1 is a loudspeaker for the ages. There is, unfortunately, a lot to go wrong with them - or more accurately a lot to degrade with age. See what condition the foam coating on the front baffle board, and also the damping ring on the wooger. The tweeter is the excellent and classic Peerless KO10DT (used also in the early Polk Audio Monitor Series loudspeakers, and many others in those halcyon days).

Well worth rehabilitation.

I'll be checking them out tomorrow, but from what I've been told they were refoamed two years ago, and the woofer is original.

Y E S ! ! ! ! The Cizeks are more than worth it!!!!! Grab quickly if you can, these are a special 10" 2-way :yes:

Grab them Cizeks, they're on another level to most other speakers, and from almost everything from that era.

I have a pair that I am using with my Fisher 400, but will soon use it with my Cayin A-100T.

Superb, simply superb.

I'm not personally familiar with the Cizeks but man they look really well engineered and the parts look of very high quality.
