Wouldn't buy them unless I was allowed to unscrew the back and inspect the drivers and crossovers to know exactly what they are. Bring a cordless drill driver and some bits.

Note the little piece tacked on the back near the top to clear the back of the treble driver. Pretty typical Altec.
Absolutely true that anything could be inside; but I think it's a fair bet that there was Altec hardware inside of 'em at least for some of their existence.

My gut feeling is that there's probably $250 of value there almost no matter what's inside. The cabinets could be put to good use, and look to be in pretty good shape.

Possibly Barzilay boxes, they are NOT Altec built.

This, for sure.

Too many screws in the back, and screws in the apex of each corner. Definitely not out of any Altec factory.

Altec valencia still worth 500.00 but most here wont buy cause they saw they could have been had for 250.00 once upon a time. Hope seller has another price hike to 750.00 which would still be well priced.....

750 should be the top of their game for any INFORMED buyer. 99% of the value is in the components.
