Cleaning face on G-7500

I just picked up a 7500. What do you guys use to clean the face? Something that wont harm the lettering. There are a couple of minor stains on it I want to remove.

personally, i would stick to watered down vinegar, maybe like 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water.

and a nice soft cloth, like the ones used to clean LCD panels.

Windex also seem to be a favorite.

Be careful with windex. There are several different windex variations. Some of them are hard on painted surfaces. Read the label carefully to find the one that doesn't specifically say not to use on painted surfaces.

True on the Windex. It does clean good but make sure you use the Vinegar version and not the ammonia one. THAT one can be damaging. It can remove the protective surface on the faceplate and then every smudge will show up.

someone told me that toothpaste works well??? never tried it though..........

I used to remove the faceplate and then clean with washing-up liquid and water. Work very good and faceplate looks as new again.
