The NIL money grab and the transfer thingy have been bad for the game. It only serves to enrich college students, and maintain/strengthen power dynasties in the game.
I do not like either.
I also wish that college would adopt the NFL situation for kickoff. I am tired of watching few/no returns because the kicker has been coached to fly it into the end zone so they do not have to deal with a potential catastrophe.

The tranfer portal has also drastically changed team dynamics, in a bad way IMHO. Some player talked about yesterday had played at three different colleges in 3 years. Got me to wondering if colleges still have GPA requirements for the players? Seems like education is not much of a priority for many college athletes these days (probably nothing new).
Its about time these kids get some of the millions they are making for the schools, NIL for the win! They do need to twick it some.
And the transfer portal is a great thing, cream gets to raise to the top easier.
NCAAF has been nothing but an NFL farm league for a long time.

That went out the window decades ago and it's not just the athletes the programs are equally ambivalent.
I could regale you with a very sad story I witnessed first hand in a summer class I took back when I was in college. Let's just say this guy was a Junior, prominent hoopster on the team and he could barely read but hey he scored a lot of points so you know priorities.
I'm sure it's the same at many football program too

It just involves more money now, and isn't limited to college football..
And how far do the winners of a game move up..?!?
Lets see...Bama moves up...their body of work justifies it...Tenn lost to them is gonna drop them to the high teens....Tex Tech will follow them down...I can foresee LSU out of the top 25....Georgia Tech into the top 10...Texas and Memphis out of the top 25...
