Can anyone believe how horrible Penn State looks on both sides of the ball? They can't score against a decent defense and they can't stop the run. The Lions will be lucky if they win any Big 10 games. Just wait until they play the likes of USC and Indiana. They are going to get smoked even worse than the Wildcats stuck it to them.

PSU gave Matt Campbell a $70 million dollar 8 year deal! lol This comes after they fired James Franklin while still being on the hook for $42 million with him. Talk about pissing money away.

They had a golden opportunity to promote Terry Smith for a lot less than they are paying Campbell and Terry proved he was a winner last year. After Terry Smith took over and Ethan Grunkemeyer became the starting QB, Penn State took Indiana to the last second in a game the Lions dominated but ended up losing on one of the most miraculous TD passes in the history of college football. Indiana then went on to win the national championship. After the Indiana game, PSU went 6-0 to become bowl eligible and then beat Clemson in the Pinstripe Bowl.

That 2025 team was a lot better than Matt Campbell's Cylone-laden team is this year. Most of the key PSU players from last year's team entered the transfer portal after they saw Campbell bringing 24 Cyclone players with him. Former Penn State players now make up important parts of the Virginia Tech offense and the Tennessee defense as well as some others. Most of them probably would have stayed if Terry Smith was head coach. The players were lobbying the school to promote him.

Penn State even would have been better-off keeping James Franklin over Matt Campbell. Just look at Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech was 3-9 last year. They are a lot better this year under James Franklin even after they got ripped-off last night big-time. One can argue whether that last second chip-shot field goal was good or not. It sure looked like it was good but even without that, the Hokies got totally ripped-off on a pass play that was called an interception. The VT receiver came down with the ball and the defender had his hands on it too. It was called an interception on the field. What the refs were smoking is beyond me? In order for it to have been an interception the defender would have had to clearly have taken the ball away from the receiver and that never happened - and the replay even showed the receiver still had his hands on it yet they let the call stand? Total rip-off. Never seen anything like it before.

It's a shame and I feel bad for the Hokies after they made a hard-fought comeback, just to have it go down they way it did.

I know one thing though. If Virginia Tech were to play Penn State this year my money would be in the Hokies. They are a lot better team.

Alabama is gonna move up to 3 or so in the ranking the week....and Mizzou looks amazing against Florida...
