So I'm sitting in this sports bar in McFarland, WI...and every TV has the Badger game on -- even a TV in the bathroom! I admit I have never seen this before.

Let's hear about college football mania.

You'd BETTER like Orange 'n' White if you live down here...And don't even THINK of saying anything that could be construed as NOT LOVING w/all your soul & all your might, Da Vols...We'll overlook the fact they haven't had a decent season for several years now.They're DA VOLS, & that's enuff for most.... Interesting how a lot of the most rabid fans never went to Tennessee, have rarely ever BEEN on the campus-Which is dominated by the ever-enlarging football stadium-& have only a tenuous connection at best w/the school. I'm happy when UT wins, unhappy if they lose, but beyond that....Meh. Its a GAME, you Eediots. The sun will come up tomorrow, irregardless.

Having just moved to Wisconsin, it's a great way to meet the locals, but in the end it's just a freakin' game -- but a nice way to integrate into the local populace.
 
I still have some very mixed emotions about Mizzou going to the SEC but am looking forward to watching their first SEC game tonight against Georgia on ESPN2. I guess in the long run it will be a good thing. Maybe.
 
I was hoping a College Football thread would start. I like Tennessee and Iowa. Was born in Iowa City, so I guess I am part Hawkeye. :thmbsp:

Of course we live and breathe for the Jayhawks and they are almost done with their football game. Holding on to a lead by their toenails! :D
 
Love me some VT Hokies. As for all the other no-account schools out there, I don't give a chit.:D That goes double for Notre Dame and the U (of Miami), of course.

Well, Georgia kicked our asses the 2nd half. I wonder who the cupcake is going to be next week? Oh ****, that would be us.

Won't happen. Flourdough has, & WILL have, the "Indian Sign" on Tennessee for a looooooong time. They CAN, & WILL be beaten, but not THIS team, or THIS year.
 
Got to respect the Ducks (especially after a few years of serious ass kicking,) but still go Huskies!
