Whoops! Double post!
Sorry.
Sorry.
Was the "standard black" vinyl the original pressing and the colored came later?
Interesting--does anyone know if Colored Vinyl sounds the same, or is it an inferior pressing?
I currently have 3 copies of The Police's Synchronicity. I just noticed that all three of them are violet coloured vinyl.
Were all copies coloured or did I just get lucky?
IIRC, All first pressings were very dark, yet translucent purple vinyl. I have a purple vinyl one, too.
I've got a French pressing of the white vinyl, White Album, and quite a few of the colored vinyl jukebox singles. I may have a "Happy Xmas, War Is Over" on green vinyl, too. And a copy of 'Reel Music' on gold vinyl. And a bunch of Stiff records singles on colored vinyl.Titles I've held on to include the Beatles Red and Blue Albums, Abbey Rd on green, German pressing of the White Album on white vinyl and some various Beatles 45 colored vinyl singles.
