JBL sold those drivers in a 1.2 cubic foot ported cab with a recommended high pass of 60Hz.In an offline convo with @ClaudeJ1 I mentioned that I was using JBL's 2225H as my benchmark for the new driver search. He brought up the JBL 2206H:

It simulates exceptionally well in a vented enclosure. I just ordered one from Reverb.

I can't take credit for finding the 18Sound DKN-25, it was @mboxler's recommendation. Its looks definitely give chuchero vibes, but the performance is remarkable- the driver is tiny!!!The tweeter response looks AWESOME. That is a great little tweeter horn/driver for the money. Great find Lance.
I literally threw it together from the remnants of a Universal crossover I had laying around, although it barely has but a passing resemblance to @THD+N's schematic. There will be more tweaking to follow, along with a properly rendered network. The goal being to get the FR at least as smooth as Mobetta...! I think your bass response that's "missing" it's authoritativeness looks just about right on your sweep. that dayton is a few db less sensitive than than our average 15" in addition to the smaller cone. I think it would probably come right in line if you pulled the rest down a few more db, but I'd bet a good corner or a tiny turn of the bass knob on your playback device would have nearly the same effect. I think it looks great in cabinet and sweeps so far! Any thoughts on finish yet?
I'll likely finish them in piano black, like the other horns, except I'll trim them out in walnut, since I have some left over from making this table for my former employer back in January:Any thoughts on finish yet?

The raw response of the DS18 is awful (purple) but it's a downward slope which I find easier to cross. Lance, I did end up with a fairly good 6khz cross. 2uf/160uh/3uf third order high pass (green). The values I gave you yesterday should be close enough??? I can't hear beyond the new drop off anyway.@Gigantic, is the REW sweep of the tweeter with no EQ or is that corrected?
Do you have a raw sweep (just crossed over) of the DS18 tweet?

I have a PRV electrolytic that measures 32.5 that I’ll throw on there in a few minutes.Try a 33~36uF across the woofer instead of 62uF.
The 4 ohm and 8 ohm woofer crossover values are quite different. For the 8 ohm (3070e) woofer, I am using a 4.5mH choke & 36uF cap for a 12dB slope at around 400~425Hz.Got a proper network put together, an amalgam of @THD+N's take on the Universal, with @mboxler's 4500X tweeter circuit:

I pulled a quick sweep:
followed by pulls on the squawker and tweeter, individually:
along with a comparison of with and without the passive radiator, showing how it would perform if it was merely a "mini LaScala:"
As you can see, the Mini LS mode is less than impressive, rolling off at 60 Hz, although it's less steep and an arguably smoother curve than the LS-1. Without the passive, it I suspect it would make a great center channel horn speaker.
Still, the sweeps highlighted some minor flaws: the mids are a little hot & the speaker is a bit forward sounding as a result. It's not awful, but I'll be dropping them to tap #2 to see if we can get an improvement. There's also a hump at 4500Hz that I'd like to tame, as well as a falling response from the DS18 DKN-25, but Mike has suggested some adjustments. Lastly, I have a sneaking suspicion that the capacitor on the woofer may be a bit heavy handed. Nick's schematic called for an 84µF cap on the 4Ω K-33, I used a 64µF cap on an 8Ω Dayton Audio Odeum Pro 12; I'll play around with values after I sort out the mid and squawker.
