Confessions of a diffusion junkie

[89grand]

They are kind of like them.

[Vintagear]

I hear ya.....you've seen Nacho Libre? The Pioneers remind me of those two little Tasmanian Devil midgets!

I hope you don't wear stretchy pants in your listening room for fun.

Nice Infinity's though :thmbsp:

What happens in the listening room stays in the listening room.

Thanks for the compliment on the QLS-1's. Been a few weeks since I've listened to them.....kinda miss 'em.

[kevinmasters]

Diffusers - pro.

Speaker stands - college freshman.

[tomlinmgt]

OK, dammit, I get it.....I'll ditch the cinder blocks and get some good speaker stands! :sigh:

[Polarbear]

Do you have the plans to build them?

[tomlinmgt]

Do you have the plans to build them?

Google "leanfuser" for the stepped diffusers.

Man after my own heart.....
DIY diffusors rock.
Heres my take.......

[totem]

Any additional info on your diffusers?

What did you want to know?

[Pandovski]

That looks very nice PDR.

I've admired your diffusers and room many times.

What design and sequence is that? How deep is your deepest well?

[PDRCanada]

QR Dude
Heres the specs.

[RickeyM]

Anxious to hear what the diffusors do for the sound of your Infinities & Maggies

[tomlinmgt]

Me too. They moved the sound stage for the monopole A. Jones Pioneer -22's back about three feet deeper than before the wall was diffuse. Can't wait to hear what they do for dipoles.

[Pandovski]

Did you get less SPL?

[tomlinmgt]

Did you get less SPL?

Nothing discernible. The illusion of more depth to the sound stage may have taken away from the frontal presentation of sonic content, but no impact or dynamic was compromised.

[Pandovski]

Nice! :thmbsp: Usually its a tradeoff with back reflections, SPL for accurate soundstage.

I have a decent portion of headroom if that ever becomes an issue.
