Well i don't know a lot about tubes but it appears to me it has mismatched pairs of OPT tubes, has a pair of what look to be matching output trannys. The 7199's are drivers, same as a ST70 uses, also has a choke on the underside looking very much like the one in an ST70. The single 12ax7 might be some kind of voltage divider, really dunno about that one.

Since it was in a leslie, maybe the output pairs were selected based on tonality and that's why they differ.

There's also 2 tubes he doesn't mention, i assume they're rectifiers.

My super WAG is it'd make a hella stereo amp in the hands of someone far more competent with tubes than myself.:D

I believe that it is actually a three channel amp. On top of the amp on the far left is your power transformer. The two vertically oriented transformers up top are your OPTs. The small open frame t-former i'd bet is the OPT for the 7868s.

I was looking at this auction today with some interest as one of a couple of Conn amp fans on the site. I haven't seen this model before, but find that generally speaking, the output iron on the conn amps is really very nice. In fact, the opts on some of the 6L6 and 6V6 based amps shares the same bolt pattern as an ST-70. These OPTs look bigger than their typical ones that I'm used to seeing.

Ahhhhhhh i see now, two pairs of 7027A's.

I need to slow down when i read these descriptions.

The 12ax7 is likely the driver for the 7868's?

Here's a photo of the Conn amp I have. It's from a GW organ ($18). They are easy to come by around here so I was following the auction to see if it was worthwhile to buy them. Problem is, of course, disposing of the stripped organ.

In reponse to the question about 3 channel amp, I have one like it and it is a 2 channel amp if it was 3channels it would have a transformer under the chassis and all 6 tubes wouldn't be wired together like they are"""

In reponse to the conversation about this being a 3 channel amp, It is a two channel amp I have one like it 2 6L6's are wired together and 6 6V6's are wired together that would make it 2 channels each have a transformer, if it was 3channel it would be one under the chassis and it would be 4 6V6's wired together and 2 wired to transformer under chassis. I'm no electronic engineer but I've seen many amp's wiring.

bluesman, i have three different variations of conn amps that look like this one. one is a 2 channel amp with PPP 12V6, another is a 3 channel amp with one pair of 6V6s wired to an outboard transformer. The third is a 3 channel amp with the two open frame output transformers, one above and one below the chassis.
