can anybody id this console? or provide any insite on age or what it apears to be packing?

1920s or 30s radio (Atwater Kent?). Outputs could be any number of things.

hmm older than ithought i was guessing 50's. i know nothing about tubes but i thought this peice could be good to learn on and put some life back in it. I know this isnt the dollars and sense forum but would something like this be worth picking up? just given the age, im assuming it would be. Looks lie its just a radio and no phonograph would there be a separae amp on this?

Yes I'd pick it up if cheap or free. There is no separate amp, but by the looks of it it either has an 80 rectifier and a pair of 45's or a 5Z3 and a pair of 2A3's, both would make it worth picking up for cheap enough. Could be a cool radio to restore!

Looks like a majestic....probably 45s or 47s in the amp.... If you can get it cheap go for it

After doing some searching online i found it did resemble a few mejestic models but i was just told it is a general electric. Dindnt find anything from general electric that resembles this though.

looks very much like a 1933 GE K-105 , superhet, 10 tubes, 58 58 56 58 58 56 56 2A5 2A5 80

it would cover broadcast (AM) and shortwave

very late 20s, or early 30s, lowboy cabinet. its a fairly deluxe model too with all that glass in there. No phono, just straight up AM goodness. Electrodynamic speaker as well. Absolutely useless as a hifi amp, but a gorgeous piece and it ought to be a heck of a performer for AM use. Thats classic pre-war radio goodness right there.

I have an Atwater Kent Model 60. That is very close. Perhaps a different model. The cabinet looks almost identical. The Atwater Kent I have has only three knobs versus the four I see in your picture. It is from the early 20s. Mine was, key word was, working great until earlier this year. I listened to talk radio on it almost every morniing. Went to work and left it on. Later that day I get a call and what ya know, smoke in the house. Transformer went bye bye. I will get it fixed again when I get around to it.
