Continuous Vintage Failure: Please Recommend New "Modern" Amp

I think some of the "vintage only group" posters should reread the OP's original post. He didn't ask for the typical AK debate over vintage vs. new. He just wants to explore new right now.

Yeah, I buy new about every 10 years now. Just like I did back in the 70's, 80's and 90's.

Yeah, I grew up in an extended "Audiophile" family. I remember plenty of broken stuff being replaced with new and then trashed. Also remember people buying the latest and greatest every other year or so... all new.

Why would now be any different?

What goes bad in an old amplifier? Generally cheap capacitors, transistors, etc. Chassis, faceplate, transformer,

there is no good comeback for the type of argument you initiated. Of course everyone buys something new in their lifetime.

I'm referring to audio gear that CAN be repaired

I buy new gear and do not wait for it to break, can't even think of anything that has .

Some of you are so brainwashed that you may have a nervous breakdown fretting over when something new will break.

Gave some of it away to very good friends and family or traded it in for more new stuff. My enjoyment comes from using the gear until I want something newer. Although I still have a few old pieces stored in their boxes (not sure why I still have them), I've only shopped for and bought two used audio components in my life.
