Corner type speaker ID

Looks like a speaker meant to be mounted on a wall firing downwards or a stage monitor. Which is odd with that home/consumer finish on it. [Eidt: Could be a permanent installation type PA speaker, like you'd see in a church or theater.]

Numbers on the drivers could be used to find the manufacturers which MAY shed some light on who built the speaker.

He couldn't find any numbers. I believe the writing on the back of the midrange is impedance and wattage. The back of the horns look to have styrofoam caps, I will have to ask my friend to confirm. Could they be Magnaxox horns?

80.00 seems optimistic. With original single rca speaker terminal out back im guessing sylvania or magnavox console speaker. Only one??

It looks like there are two of them for sale. How do they sound?

He dose have a pair of them but I haven't heard them. He says they sound pretty good. Certainly not much of a crossover to get in the way of the signal. They are also mirror imaged so they must not have been that cheap/inexpensive?

Very possible that's a Maggie or Fostex horn and the cabinet is Maggie or another of the big console brands like RCA or Zenith. I have some of those midranges, but I couldnt' tell you where they came from.

Looking at the magnets on the mid and woofer, those are not high quality drivers. Might sound OK with a couple new caps, but don't expect miracles.
