Seems high based on condition and lack of restoration. I sold a pair for less that didn't have tubes but was in nicer shape. It took a LONG time to get rid of them too.

I'm sure they're easily worth $1K as they sit, possibly a bit more. Full electronic resto is ~ $500 ea at A/C plus you might as well have them replace the chassis with repros while they're at it which will push it up a bit higher - or just leave alone.

They are so not tempting to me. I'll stick with my mc240's.

I've seen enough examples of what the NM climate does to metal, and those have to have come from somewhere else.
The only worry in this climate is dried up capacitors, brittle power cords and dusty potentiometers.

These aren't restored or anything. The seller calls them "serviced" but really they just had the tube sockets cleaned and some tubes replaced. 100% original otherwise, which is nice if you want something unmolested, but probably not great if you plan to use these long-term.

Rust-o-mod these and clear coat the patina and rebuild and someone can have a sweet set of MC30s for short coin. After you get the initial purchase price down to reasonable for the condition.
