That's not 100%, though. But if it is real, it doesn't look to be any screaming good deal, anyway: A picker's leftovers maybe...

Probably a so-so deal but it looks like he's keeping all the good stuff for himself (as is to be expected).
Why spend good money on that stuff when you could buy a couple of really nice pieces instead?

There really does seem to a be lot misc junk from what I can make out in the picture- It reminds me that I have to a bit of spring cleaning to do myself- I pick up a lot of older gear up for the sake of novelty

I wonder what the professional Ampex system is. That could fund the whole thing right there and then some if it's studio recording equipment.

I see a couple Pioneer TT's - maybe a PL-41 and a PL-50? Looks like there's a Pioneer CT-F850 cassette deck sitting there. I spot a Marantz receiver too.

If I were local, it would interest me to have a looksie. Maybe not $800 there for some, but for those with the space for it all, I suspect one could make some money on the stuff even if it weren't all functional.

The AR's are enclosed in a larger cabinet. Speaker in a speaker.
This is the guy who sold me my last tube batch. He has some nice stuff.

He has more than one. I saw a bunch of boxes of reel to reel tapes also.

I think the Marantz is a 2270, based on what I can see of it. I have one and it looks very much like the one in the photo, and lately they have been going for crazy amounts of money on eBay.

For $800 you can buy what you want.

Besides, how many of those pieces would you have to test to make sure you are getting your money's worth of working gear.

I only bought and paid for what I wanted. We both laughed about the early bird getting the worm.
