I'd spend that for that amp quickley.. I've seen them go for a lot more than that..

That price is more than fair for that amp. They have sold for much more on the Bay. If you could get it for less - well that would be icing on the cake.

Is this amp anything special or is it just rare?

Should I buy it or keep saving for a Mcintosh amp (2255)?

It's definately a special amp and pretty rare. You should follow the links that guy provided on his CL ad and when you get to the page, click on the sound test report and the little picture at the top left of the body of text which takes you to a full blown brochure. Its definately a high performer and the build is very high-end. I SERIOUSLY doubt you would be dissapointed and I even bet you could flip it in the future and probably make a profit on the Bay when your ready to get that McIntosh

The Owner's Manual says 120 WPC @ 8ohms and 180 @ 4ohms.

That link is for the SE-A5. I could not find anything in english on the SE-A70.

My bad, I didn't catch that. He's got a link to information about the SE-A5 which is from what I can tell a better amp. $400 starting to look a little steep to me. Can't find much on this 70 anywhere.
