CS-911A vs CS-920

I saw a picture of Pioneer CS-920 Speakers from Retro Stereo. I never heard about before!?. They almost look like my CS-911A. Somebody knows the Difference? :scratch2:

siamac, I do not know the answer to your question, but I do have a pair of CS-911A speakers. I don't think the 920 or the 911A are very common...

I sold a pair of CS911A's that I got from the original owner. He bought them overseas, maybe they weren't available in the US? Those have nice midrange tone btw :thmbsp:

None of the 4 "Super Tweeters" give sound. But when I take them out and check them directly, they are all working. :scratch2: :scratch2: :scratch2:

Tweeter check

I would check the low/med/high switch for the tweeters. They were dirty on my CS911A's. You could just bypass the switch first to see if it's bad, if the tweets still don't work, then the caps in the crossover must be bad, or you have a loose connection some where. They should sound nice when you get them working!

Yea, I have CS-911a ?????'s..... I bought a pair of CS-911a's this past weekend at a yard sale here in my gated community...Story is tho , I bought a Technics Receiver SA-1010. I was unfamiliar with this ugly monster receiver (Not a knob or switch in sight) but it was really heavy & silver. So hey anyway , I had only $16.00 in pocket & so he says it's yours. BUT does it work ? So he grabs this monster receiver , carries it into his small living room & hooks it up to his "Pioneer" CS-911a's and Whoa ! DID IT EVER WORK... PERFECTLY ! and so did the CS-911a's...He said if I could come up with $10.00 more I could have the SA-1010 & CS-911a's for $26.00 (BECAUSE HE NEEDED THE SPACE & HE JUST BOUGHT A SANYO HOME THEATER IN A BOX) Oh Boy ! Needless to say I ran home for the 10 spot pronto... OK ! No more rattle ! These CS-911a's seem to sound fine , But I believe some of the speaker cones have been lightly spray painted Flat Black cause they don't look exactly like the ones I've seen here. I know nothing about these Pioneer speakers so anyone with the scoop ? THANKS in advance ! I must admit this monster Technics SA-1010 receiver ROCKS ! If I could just stand to look at it though , but pushin' these CS-911a's NOT TOO BAD ! What was this guy thinkin'......Cheers ! PIO SX-$$$$ # 1

Hi there, I notice on my cs-911a speakers I am not hearing sound from the super tweeters either, were you able to identify why yours had the same issue?
