Got a curve ball for ya....anyone ever hear of a company called Aimor?

A co-worker has an AIMOR OA-4100 amplifier (sorry no pics).

I'd like to know how many watts per channel it is. :)

Not sure of the WPC on that particular model, but Aimor was a Japanese company going back at least to the mid-1960s. I've had two similar Aimor amps. Not bad for what they were, the smaller one was quite comparable in build and design to a compact Rotel that I've had --both were in the 25-30 WPC range, with aluminum faceplates and nice sound. Almost like typical silver-fronted amps that had been "shrunk"; smaller in size than you'd expect with that kind of wattage rating. I think Aimor lasted for a while, because I've also seen the label on a couple of boomboxes.

Thanks Arkay. The first question I asked (him) was, "is it black" followed by, "is it plastic". His answers were, "yes, black, and no, not plastic (metal).

Had he answered yes to both questions, I would have stopped there. But the name, along with the unit being metal, piqued my interest.

Thanks. :)

edit: agreed, boomboxes were the first to show on my initial searches
