Custom 800w sub driver recommendation?

So I've recently come into possession of an amplifier back plate from a Martin Logan Dynamo 800x and I think it would be a fun project to build my own subwoofer with it. However I'm relatively new to diy speakers and I'd love some recommendations for some woofers to drive with it. I've heard a lot of good things about Dayton subs, and I feel like with a Martin Logan amp it might be worth it to pair it with an Ultimax? Idk if that's overkill or not. I'm also looking for an ideal size of sub. I live in a relatively small apartment so I know I don't need anything crazy, but I do love some bass. I'd like to keep the budget for the woofer around $300 or under, but let me know!

If you don't want your neighbors to be knocking on your door, you probably want to keep deep bass to a minimum. Powerful subs and apartment living don't go together.

If the neighbors won't train their dog to stop barking in the middle of the night, I think they'll be fine with some heavy bass playing during the day it's more just a fun project for me than anything, but I don't want to underutilize the amp. I got it from a local Martin Logan dealer who threw it in with a whole bunch of other AV goodies for a total of $100.
