Very nice! Since mine weren't as bad, a damp paper towel did wonders.

I started to remove components on one of the crossovers. In the process, I nicked one of the inductors removing the green anodizing. Any issue with that?

absolutely not. as long as you don't let any other bare conductors touch it. They don't move so you'll be fine. Don't stretch the cap wiring over to that nick and have em touching.

Anyone know where I can purchase a 4ohm, 15watt resistor?

Use two 2 Ohm 10W resistors in series.

Both Mouser and Digikey have them but I wouldn't use any of those instead of the one in the speakers now.

I was able to remove most of the unwanted components by desoldering. Though I am a little worried that I used a little too much heat.

I did find that I'll need to add a riser (red L shaped box) for the 3 resistors (30,35,5). There's not enough room when adding the new 6uF capacitor. Red arrow shows were I plan to add the 80uF capacitor. It'll be placed to the right of the bracket.

I decided to take your advice Blue, and not mess with those other resistors.

Any problems using 12awg 65 strand wire for jumpers and extension lines? Or, should I find the same gauge solid wire as used in the original design?
