HI, I saw this TT online and I was wondering what are the thoughts on it.

Belt drive full-auto built in Pre-amp if needed, has MM cartridge.:scratch2:

Any info ?

Search Pro-ject Debut. Some guy bought one, thought it was junk, and ended up with the Denon. He did a whole write up on it.

No problem, John. Takes me several tries sometimes, too - 'cause I regularly visit quite a few sites, and not all search functions work the same way, so I often have to play around with the syntax and keywords a bit, until I get what I want. And if that doesn't work, I'll even resort to check the help/instructions for the particular search function - but that's hardly ever necessary, unless it's a more complicated search that includes logic operations...

(...) Looks solid!

Well, it's a bit more solid than a Technics SL-BD20, but not much more than that. Kind of a hollow solidity, I'd say - at least that was my impression after I had inspected one a bit in a shop a while ago. On the whole, I'd rate it to be pretty much on the same level as a Dual CS455-1 - decent entry level hifi class.

jleon92f,

Don't forget now, when you get your baby, we want a good review! By good, I mean with details. Let us know the facts! It's important to know how you like it. I'm as anxious as you are. Ain't it fun getting a new piece of gear?

I wasn't referring to density...

Decent tonearm, good performer is what I meant.

No Problem, As soon as it gets here! I still have to decide what system to hook it up too? Easiest would be to put it up with the HK PM650 and the Jensen speakers I have in the living room for now.

Thanks,
John.:music:

I didn't care for it at all. It was rather clunky in a lot of respects. It lasted in my system for about a month and then I got rid of it.

Thanks for your input, I will let you know what I think after I have run it for a few hours and see how it works, when it arrives.

Thanks,

Well there has to be a few people who did not like it, I read a review on it and the people liked it.
So there are mixed results and I was never one to listen to critics anyway!

Still waiting, getting a bit excitied. 1st new purchase in a while. I moved out all the TT's I wanted too, to get this one. It actually came out ok $ wise.

Thanks,
John.:music:

Denon 300F

I think it's a pretty reasonable table for a new non-us-made table. I do think, however, for the little extra money the 500M is a better unit. The 300 comes with a cartridge mounted, and an on-board pre-amp so your system doesn't need a phono section. The 500 doesn't come with a cart therefore you can install the right one for your system and pick out a nice phono pre-amp. It all depends on your budget. You get what you pay for!
