I think a McIntosh equalizer, and spectrum analyzer, with black glass, blue LED's showing the level settings for each band, and a blue display for the analyzer would be really cool.
I Like it! :thmbsp:
We still think you're nuts, though.

The MLU-3000 a SS Quad-Chassis Commemorative 3000 watt Amp.![]()
MLU-3000 Commemorative? Your humility is overwhelming.![]()

Aw Shuks, thanks!![]()
A MS that could support 5.1 and SACD quality.
That makes my sciatica flare up just thinking about it!Man, a 3000 watt amp (3 x 1000 output) would be a huge, heavy amp. With power supply transformer, autoformers for outputs, and cooling fins for power transistors, the chassis would be so large it probably would not fit a standard sized rack, not to mention the weight (maybe 180lbs).

PS- I wouldn't hold my breath on the reel-to-reel idea....
Thanks,

I would like an MS model that a) sports a 1TB drive, b) supports other lossless audio formats (e.g., Apple Lossless), c) runs silently or near silently, d) can be extended/backed up via USB drive.
Oh, and balanced out and the MCD500's DAC too.
