I have one that is going into,duty powering 2 pairs of 901's. his ad might be factual correct in that they have been measured at 260 watts into 8 ohms. Something about them being a class G amp

Edit - according to High Fidelity magazine, the unit they had measured 240 watts per channel, not 260. It was capable of 400 per channel at short bursts but ran cool putting out 240

IIRC, the SR-2004 had some fantastic (for a receiver) dynamic power numbers. Of course, we prefer FTC watts.

I was just about to call him out for that error. He says "automatically switching to 400 watts RMS" which is totally wrong. RMS is a measurement for power at sustained periods of time. a "short burst" is the opposite of RMS, and is often referred to as "peak power".
