Does black speaker glue fix woofer hole?

I attempted to repair my woofer as I accidentally poked a hole into the side with my screwdriver, should speaker glue applied like this do the job?

If you poked a hole in the cone you can use TP and Aleenes glue to patch it from the back.

The surround would be a little more difficult to repair depending on if its rubber, foam, or cloth accordion.

My bad wrong photo file, here it is. I did not place anything over it, it was so small I just filled over the top with glue. It was the surround not the cone, and it's cloth accordion.

How long would you also say it takes these glues to dry, should I wait a full day? Bottle is Simply Speaker MI1500 but no other info given.

Your damage is to the surround, which is a different story. The surrounds needs to keep their flexibility and glue will stiffen that area and has a chance that it will effect the driver's attributes. AK member VintageAK was selling a solution on Ebay that can be used to repair cloth surrounds like you have. The importance is to not stiffen the surrounds. I need some of this solution and have yet to find him available. The secondary solution to your issue might have to be Permatex Aviation Gasket. Research has shown that the permatex stays flexible for a while, but later hardens and works against you, If your speaker is not acoustic suspension, then you might get away with leaving it alone. Our standard go-to was 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive back when I worked for a Pro audio business. It's black, stays pliable and doesn't dry out. We tried many different things and that was the winner.

I should have known, what are the signs of a surround being too stiff? Any audio problems to listen for? It seems to not have any problems inflating and deflating like my other identical woofer.

I guess I could just rip it out and replace the surround, refoam it.

Looking at the picture I think what you did should be fine. If you can tell the difference from one speaker to the other I would be surprised.

its so close to the basket it should be fine
just keep an eye on it, that it doesn't spread over time
